Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a credential offered by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). As of 21 March 2013, there were 2643 active CBAP certified individuals. A survey report published in 2010 by the Standish Group listed the top 10 reasons projects become challenged and it shows that total 7 reasons with the top 4 reasons are related to business analysis. Individuals who obtain this certification are considered the elite, most experienced members of the Business Analysis community.
